The planned comedy-action film Sonic The Hedgehog is based on Sega’s hugely popular video game series of the same name. Jeff Fowler, Pat Casey, Josh Miller, and John Washington wrote the script for this film.
It’s scheduled for release in April 2022, following the popularity of the first film and a desire to make it into a series. From March to June 2021, films will be shot in Vancouver and Hawaii. Knuckles will star in a spin-off series and a third picture, both of which Paramount plans to release in 2022.
Tails, who made an appearance in the original film’s mid-credits scene, had been mentioned by Marsden as a possible character for a sequel by April 2020. Jeff Fowler, the film’s director, has expressed a desire to return to the friendship between Sonic and Tails while also expanding on Dr. Eggman’s character in a possible sequel.
A sequel with Tails and a more truthful representation of Eggman would be a good fit for Schwartz following the COVID-19 breakout, which made it fair for Paramount Pictures not to have announced one at the time.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Releasing Updates
The world does not despise Jim Carrey, and there is no reason to despise him. Sonic the Hedgehog fans went wild when he returned to acting after a long absence. There was no reason for Sage not to develop a sequel to the original Sonic picture, which had both critical and financial success.
It was revealed in December 2020 by the British Columbia Film Commission that the film’s production would take place from March 15 to May 10, 2021, under the title “Emerald Hill, a link to the beginning zone of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 video game. This film will be shot in both Vancouver and Hawaii, according to Tika Sumpter’s announcement in January 2021.
Brandon Trost worked as a cinematographer on March 15, 2021, which was the scheduled start date in Vancouver. On May 7, Carrey organized a raffle to give away a Chevrolet Blazer as a thank you to the cast and crew; the vehicle was later given a grip as a result of the raffle. Filming in Vancouver came to a finish on May 12th, 2021.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Story
A clan of echidnas on a distant world hunts Sonic, an anthropomorphic blur-colored hedgehog, because of his abilities. Rings that can open portals to other planets are given to him by his guardian, Longclaw the Owl.
The echidnas are kept at bay as she takes one of them to the ground. Ten years later, Sonic still lives in secrecy near Green Hills, Montana, but he longs to reunite with his old friends.
“Donut Lord” and “Pretzel Lady” Tom Wachowski and his veterinarian wife, Maddie, whom he refers to as “Donut Lord” and “Pretzel Lady,” intend to relocate to San Francisco, where Tom has accepted a position with the San Francisco Police Department because he is frustrated with the lack of intervention in Green Hills.
Because of his loneliness, Sonic starts sprinting in circles when he’s playing baseball by himself one night. This generates an electromagnetic pulse that knocks out power to much of the Pacific Northwest. An eccentric roboticist and creative prodigy named Dr. Robotnik is reluctantly recruited by the US Department of Defense to discover what’s causing the problem.

Hulu, Paramount+, and Amazon Prime all have Sonic the Hedgehog (2020) available for streaming right now. Other than well-known OTTs Epix and Roku, this film is only available for streaming in some parts of the United States.
