Right now, the Witcher series is a veritable cornucopia. The world that Andrzej Sapkowski has created seems to expand every day, what with the anime prequel and all the spinoffs in the works. And not just because Geralt is a visual treat to behold on Henry Cavill’s flagship series.
The good news is that Netflix said the third season will be coming even before the second one arrived. Furthermore, season four has been announced as well, albeit with a significant cast overhaul.

The Witcher Season 3 Potential Release Date
Shout it from the rooftops! The date for the third season of The Witcher has been set. Akin to. Henry Cavill, who plays the title role in The Witcher, has assured fans that the film will hit theatres in the summer of 2023, sometime between the months of June and September.

So, we can expect to hear a lot more of that beginning very soon.” It was announced that filming had begun by April 2022, when the show’s official Twitter account posted a photo showing Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, and Freya Allan in their respective chairs on set.
Since then, more sneak peeks from the set of Henry have surfaced, taking us all the way up to the last day of July 2022, when filming had to be shut down because Cavill had contracted Covid-19. However, on October 29, 2022, Netflix startled viewers everywhere by announcing that Liam Hemsworth will be taking over the starring role in season four as Geralt himself, replacing Henry Cavill. Consequently, it’s likely that Mimi Ndiweni (Fringilla), Media Simson (Francesa), Mahesh Jadu (Vilgefortz), and MyAnna Buring (Tissaia) will all be back for season three.
