When Kyle Bradstreet’s Secret Invasion debuts on Disney+ in June, it will be the first MCU TV show of Phase 5 and has the potential to be a huge success. Since before the MCU even existed, there have been plans to give Marvel veteran Nick Fury his own standalone, but now Samuel L. Jackson will finally get his chance to shine.
The one-eyed, former director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Fury, will return in Secret Invasion as a more grizzled incarnation, carrying on the storylines of his work with the Skrulls in Captain Marvel and Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Secret Invasion will introduce a rogue faction of those green-skinned nasties that will be more recognizable to comic book fans, appeasing those angry that Captain Marvel transformed the shape-shifting Skrulls from malevolent aliens into oppressed refugees.
Is There a Release Date for Secret Invasion?
On June 21, 2023, Marvel’s Secret Invasion will debut on Disney Plus. Beginning in September 2021 and wrapping up in April 2022, Marvel’s Secret Invasion was shot all around the U.K. For the filming in January 2022, Bond Court and Greek Street in Leeds had a Russian makeover.
Some have suggested that the movie would serve as a prequel to The Marvels, much like WandaVision did for Doctor Strange 2, which is presently slated for release on July 28, 2023. Thus, the series premiere might occur before or after the Captain Marvel sequel.

The characters of Clarke and Colman are revealed even more, and a more frail Fury mentions “one last flight” in this scene. A second featurette, released in May 2023, provided additional information.
