God Eater is a 2015 Japanese anime Television series which is inspired by the God Eater video game series. The anime series is animated by Ufotable, first season was premiered six years ago on 12th July 2015 which was delayed for a week due to certain production-related issues on its original network Tokyo MX, KBS, BS11, Sun TV, KSS, OHK, EBC, JRT. After more than two years of release, MVM Films acquired the series in December 2017. The show was produced by Hikaru Kondo, directed by Takayuki Hirao, and written by Takayuki Hirao, Kei Tsunematsu, also the series was licensed by Hanabee, Aniplex of America, and MVM Entertainment. The series consisted of a total of 13 episodes and the last episode being telecasted on 26th March 2016 titled “Ruined Land”.
The series was appreciated by all the fans worldwide and also confessed their expectation for the next season of the show. After more than six years also the audience are still watching the anime series and expects for a renewal soon. The series got a rating of 7 out of 10 on IMDB. God Eater Season 2| Plot| What can be the next chapter?
Let’s take a quick summary of the events of the first season before proceeding into the events that are expected in the second season.
The anime series is almost like the story we see in the video game of the same series. The storyline is set in 2071 where an organization known as “Fenrir” is situated in the post-apocalyptic nation of the New Asian Union (the country is a union of Japan, South Korea, North Korea and Northeast China). Aragami has caused acute disruption to humanity because of their evil creatures who are killing humans in a large number. The moment when the scenario became worst than ever the Fenrir group decided and move forward to save humanity from this torture and distress, the group is also called as “God Eaters” as they kill evil monsters by using spiritual weapons which is composed of “Oracle Cells”.
In the second season of God Eater, there is a possibility that the viewers may see some other protagonist as Lead character because as seen in the first season the lead character suffered a devastating scenario and while battling against Aragami, he loses his arm. This may reflect that we may see Lenka in the lead role in the next season.
In the last episode, we saw Lenka motivating and encouraging the whole team members which also hints that she will be leading now. The debut season also introduced the character “Shion” who is half human and half Aragami and seems like an experienced and skilled God Arc. The fans are also expecting she will be seen in supporting lead in the coming season.
Further, the expected upcoming season may also be back with a more gripping storyline along with some more terrific monsters and superheroes to fight for protecting mankind.
