21 October (UPI) Following recent anti-Semitic comments made by the rapper, the upscale clothing brand Balenciaga has severated its relationship with Kanye West, according to a source on Thursday.

In a statement to Women’s Wear Daily on Thursday, Balenciaga’s parent company Kering stated that it “no longer has any contact with this artist and has no intentions for future projects associated to this artist.”

The business, which is also closely connected to West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian, hasn’t released any statements about its associations with West, who now goes as Ye, in public. Additionally, the rapper has not commented on the purported split with Balenciaga.

West, 45, has a net worth of almost $2 billion because to his music career, the Yeezy footwear brand, and his formerly successful collaboration with Gap. The corporation has put his collaboration with Adidas for his Yeezy brand “under review.”

He lost access to his Instagram and Twitter accounts earlier this month after making anti-Semitic comments in response to donning a “White Lives Matter” shirt to his Yeezy collection show during Paris Fashion Week. West had also participated in the Balenciaga fashion show in Paris as a model.

After posting a screenshot of text texts from the Paris Fashion Week incident and a dispute with Tremaine Emory over remarks about the late Virgil Abloh, rapper Kanye West’s Instagram account was blocked.

West replied that he would use Combs as “an example to show the Jewish people that told you to contact me that no one can intimidate or influence me” in the since-deleted communications with Combs in which Diddy requested West to “stop playing these internet games.”

West also claimed in a since-deleted tweet that he “can’t be anti-Semitic” following the limitation since “Black people are actually Jew also.”

West complained, “You people have been playing with me and trying to blackball anyone who opposes your agenda.

After being banned on Instagram, West, who had last tweeted in November 2020, returned to the service but was later locked out of Twitter.

Last weekend, the rapper made more contentious claims during an appearance on the Drink Champs podcast, claiming that George Floyd, a Black man who was killed by many Minneapolis police officers in 2020, had passed away from fentanyl.

On the podcast, West stated, “If you see, the guy’s knee wasn’t even on his neck like that. They hit him with the fentanyl.”

Parlement Technologies, the organization behind Parler, stated on Monday that he would purchase the contentious social networking platform after dealing with the lockouts on Twitter and Instagram.
