WA, MARYSVILLE – The Washington State Patrol is looking into the shooting death of a 24-year-old Everett woman on US 2 last weekend as a possible case of road rage.
The victim’s father, Scott Davis, is also her name. To celebrate his birthday, he claims she was on her way back from Leavenworth, but she never arrived.

Raelyn was a passenger in a 2014 Kia Sorrento that was returning to Puget Sound from Leavenworth on Saturday night, according to the Washington State Patrol. According to troopers, the Kia’s driver got into a physical argument with occupants in a dark-colored Subaru SUV that also had a roof-mounted cargo basket somewhere close to Skykomish.
According to police, whatever started the argument erupted when a Subaru passenger drew a revolver and blasted through the Kia’s rear glass. Raelyn was hit by the bullet and passed away along US 2.
High beams were flashed at the beginning of this one, according to Trooper Kelsey Harding. I’m not sure why the suspect vehicle was agitated, but the victim vehicle had just returned from Oktoberfest when the incident occurred.
When Raelyn’s father met with FOX 13 News to discuss Raelyn, he was overcome with emotion. If the murderer comes forward and accepts responsibility for their actions, he thinks they can atone for their crime.

He urged them to “get within of themselves and do what is right for myself, for Raelyn, and for her family, and do what is right for the public.”
By sharing dashcam footage, the public may be able to help troopers find a suspect. Anyone travelling between Monroe and Wenatchee on Saturday night between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. is asked to contact troopers with any video they may have.
