Valhalla is set 100 years after the end of the first Vikings series. This means we could meet a fresh set of cast and understand more about a new span of history.

The Netflix synopsis describes that Vikings Valhalla would be a film about the heroic adventures of some of the most famous Vikings who ever lived, happening almost a thousand years ago in the early 11th century.

As tensions between the Vikings and the English royals extend a bloody climax. The Vikings themselves clash over their conflicting Christian and ancient beliefs. These three Vikings concentrate on an epic journey that might take them across oceans and battlefields, from Kattegat to England and beyond, in their mission for survival and glory.

According to reports, the upcoming series might take us through numerous wars, return to a larger Kattegat, and finish with the Battle of Stamford Bridge 1066 and the end of the Viking Age.

The war between the Vikings and England will be explored once more in the upcoming series, this time in the 11th century. As the Viking era ends in the 11th century, we will most certainly see this fall recreated in Valhalla.
