Tony Stark Dead: Our beloved Avengers would stop at nothing to defeat Thanos, and we knew that going into the movie theatres. Some of them may perish in the Infinity Saga finale after rescuing everyone else. The prophecies that Iron Man will die to defeat Thanos (Josh Brolin) proved to be correct.

As a result, the Endgame finale was a heartbreakingly beautiful piece of art. After our first Endgame screenings, we couldn’t help but wonder if Marvel would ever bring back Iron Man.

What if we could eat our cake and drink it too? How can RDJ’s Iron Man make a comeback without jeopardizing the success of Endgame? As it turns out, we already know the solution. We almost missed the return of Tony Stark when Marvel resurrected him. It’s still unclear whether Robert Downey Jr. will reprise his most enduring role.

Tony Stark Dead is Final

There were no second chances in Endgame. In part, that’s because of this. Even before the glitch, Thanos killed certain superheroes in Infinity War. He killed Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and sacrificed Gamora (Zoe Saldana) early in the flick.

In Endgame, we saw alternate universes’ versions of both characters. With Thanos, Marvel may have been preparing the audience for Tony Stark’s comeback.

But Iron Man was killed in Endgame. It was a moving experience that brought the audience to their knees. A key character (and performer) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe finished up a fulfilling storyline. This is a big dilemma for the MCU because it has lost one of its strongest defenders, Iron Man.

Theories About The Return Of Tony Stark

Iron Man (Chris Evans) and Captain America (Steve Rogers) were rumored to be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but nothing was confirmed. Both stars have stated that they will not be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Tony Stark Dead

These rumors are noteworthy since there are ways to bring the deceased or retired Avengers back into the MCU without detracting from the Endgame conclusion. The death of Iron Man should not be reversed. As for the retirement of Captain America, it is well-earned. Despite this, there are countless versions of Stark and Rogers.

Enter The Multiverse

Two things were made very plain by Loki. To begin with, it firmly constructed the multiverse and set its rules. As a second benefit, it demonstrated Marvel’s ability to provide an epic storyline arc for the same character multiple times. It was Hiddleston’s interpretation of Loki that was never seen in any of the films.

With Kang (Jonathan Majors) on the scene, things are only getting worse. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will reportedly feature more of him. A new Gamora will join the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 casts, and we’ll get to see more of her in the future. Even better, Spider-Man: No Way Home has three different Peter Parkers.

Then there are the supposed cameos of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. By the way, it’s claimed that Iron Man/Tony Stark will appear in one of those appearances. There has been speculation as to whether or not Tom Cruise might make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as an Iron Man version.

The enormous reshoots on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness have been attributed to the fact that the plot needs to be improved and new people need to be introduced into the story. There were “too few Easter eggs” in the picture, according to Marvel execs. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has a long list of possible appearances, and we can’t wait to see who shows up.

All of these episodes and movies are in chronological order following Tony Stark’s death. Marvel may choose a different Tony from the universe for future MCU crossovers, according to the rumor.

The Massive and Incredible Marvel Reveal

What If…? was a multiverse scenario, as we discovered during the show’s run. Before the show aired, I mused aloud about what might have happened if… After seeing Loki’s variations, there was no other choice. Marvel has also confirmed this. Multiverse and the MCU are intertwined throughout What If…? Everything, including Iron Man variants, is in the canon.

Doctor Strange 2’s title makes it clear that we learned about this in the most recent Spider-Man film. When it comes to plot holes ruining Marvel Comics, don’t worry too much. However, remember that Marvel always has a strategy in place.”

Tony Stark is Dead, But Tony Stark did Come Back to the MCU

Taking all of that into consideration, you see Marvel has already brought Iron Man back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Even if our Iron Man died, What If…? introduced us to a new Tony Stark. Once again, here’s the first season trailer:

Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) saves Tony Stark in this alternate timeline. As you may recall from that episode of the series, Killmonger saves him but then kills him, taking over the role of Black Panther.

RDJ’s absence from the roster of Marvel stars returning to their roles for What If…? was notable. In four separate appearances on the show, Mick Wingert played Tony Stark. The multiverse provides for a wide variety of Iron Men.

Finally, there’s no sign that the Tony Stark from What If…? will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the future. In almost every MCU narrative, Tony Stark died in What If..? As the multiverse expands, we’ll need to keep a watch on that as well. It’s not like we didn’t want to witness how Shuri and Pepper handled this betrayal in the Killmonger episode’s continuation.

The “Guardians of the Multiverse” were seen to be led by Captain Carter (Hayley Atwell), and it was hinted that she would appear in Multiverse of Madness as well. She could be a member of the Illuminati, which has been discussed in conjunction with the second Doctor Strange film in recent leaks.

So much information is available that it’s hard to know what to believe. Some of these leaks and spoilers have worked out in the past, so we’re willing to take a look at what’s out there.

There is a good chance that this Stark version will appear in future MCU films and television episodes. It’s impossible to just bring in a random Iron Man given that the character has been relegated to the annals of comic book history.
