September 23, 2013 marked the debut of “The Blacklist” on NBC. An ex-Navy officer who becomes a high-profile criminal is the focus of this American crime thriller starring Raymond Reddington, popularly known as “Red.” Despite being on the run for a long time, Red eventually hands himself over to the FBI.

He tells the FBI that he has compiled a list of the world’s most vile criminals throughout the years and is willing to offer this information on their operations in exchange for immunity. Part of the plot is based on actual events. Specifically, the series is based on James “Whitely” Bulger, a notorious Boston gangster convicted of 11 murders and other crimes. He lived in Boston at the time of his crimes.

The majority of the show’s production takes place in Montreal. James Spader is the man behind the character of “Red”. Actors including Diego Klattenhoff, Ryan Eggold, Amir Arison, Harry Lennix and Hisham Tawqif are also featured in the show. Megan Boone plays Elizabeth Keen.

The Blacklist Season 10 Premiere

Back in February of this year, NBC’s murder drama “The Blacklist” was renewed for a tenth season. Over the years, the show’s popularity has grown and it has been delighting its audience for about a decade. The main character of “The Blacklist” is the dangerous fugitive and criminal Raymond “Red” Reddington. As a result of his cooperation with the FBI, he has been included to the “blacklist,” a comprehensive list of the most dangerous criminals and terrorists with whom he has had contact.

As the show progresses, Red’s unique ways aid the FBI. Throughout the show, the mystery surrounding his attraction to rookie FBI profiler Elizabeth Keen is gradually revealed. On Jimmy Fallon’s US talk show “The Tonight Show,” actor James Spader was the first to confirm the series’ renewal. After the Season 9 finale, it will be nice to know that any remaining cliffhangers will be resolved in The Blacklist Season 10. We’ll see Wujing and other crooks hunting Red and plotting to kill him in this season.

The Blacklist Season 10 Cast

When The Blacklist season 10 premiered on The Tonight Show, James Spader was the first to reveal that he would return to his role as Raymond “Red” Reddington. Lennix will likely return as Harold Cooper in season 10, Diego Klattenhoff as Donald Ressler and Hisham Tawfiq as Dembe Zuma if nothing else is reported. John Eisendrath, the showrunner for the ninth season, will likely return for the upcoming episodes.

Because Aram Mojtabi has been a permanent cast member of The Blacklist since Season 1, Amir Arison will not be returning as a permanent cast member for Season 10. He said goodbye to the show, explaining that he needed a break and that he wanted to refocus his career, as he was planning to make his Broadway debut soon.
