High School DxD is a Japanese anime series created by Takao Yoshioka, directed by Tetsuya Yanagisawa and produced by TNK. The anime series is inspired by the light novel series of the same name which was written by Ichiei Ishibumi and depicted by Miyama Zero. The first season of the show originally premiered on 6th January 2012 and concluded on 23rd March 2012. The debut season follows the journey of Issei Hyodo, set during the period of contention amongst the angels, fallen angels and devils. The second season released on 7th July 2013 and 22nd September 2013; the third season aired from 4th April 2015 to 20th June 2015. The third season was the last season produced by TNK due to certain creative differences amongst script writer Takao Yoshioka, Director Tetsuya Yanagisawa and original novel series writer Ichiei Ishibumi. The fourth season broadcasted from 10th April 2018 to 3rd July 2018 and produced by Passione, written by Kenji Konuta and directed by Yoshifumi Sueda. The show is licensed by Funimation.

High School DxD Season 5| Release Date
There is no official announcement with respect to the release date, however, it was expected to release in 2020 but due to the coronavirus pandemic we all know that everything was severely hit and hence this also got delayed. During an interview, Ichiei Ishibumi himself confirmed and indicated that the High School DxD Season is under process. We can expect the release by the last quarter of 2021 or early 2022.

For the Folks who have some faded memories about the series, let us take a quick recap of the previous seasons before proceeding into the synopsis of the upcoming season.
The story revolves around the thrilling adventures of Issei Hyoudou who is pursuing his high school studies at the Kuoh Academy and is a Second year student and he desires to become an upcoming King of Harem. But unfortunately, in a tragedy Issei lost his life to his first date who was a fallen angel. Later, Issei takes rebirth and the devil princess Rias Gremory brings him back into life as a demon. Rias is the most beautiful student of the Kuoh Academy and she belongs to a devil background. Her resemblance in the season attracted everyone and was also apt according to her character, her long red wonderful hairs loved by all the fans a lot. Now the matter was Since it was clear that Rias is the one who brought Issei back into the world although as a devil only but as a gratitude he has to provide for Rias and her family. In the last episode it was seen that the growing bond between Rias and Issei became the reason for worry amongst the angels, devils and the fallen angels. Their relationship imposes and may cause harm on a large scale due to which the devils, the angels and the fallen angels start to keep an eye on them strongly.
The first season was adaptation of initial two volumes of the light novel series a few parts taken from eighth volume, the second season was adapted from the third and the fourth volumes of the novel, the first ten episodes of the third season was adapted from fifth to seventh volumes of the novel, only the last two episodes of the season was an original isolated story. The fourth season adapted from the ninth and tenth volumes of the novel series.
