Williams started his high school career with the San Diego powerhouse San Ysidro. On his varsity debut against El Cajon Valley High School on November 20, 2019, he finished with 41 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals in a 98-46 victory.
Williams then went on to score 50 points in an 85-77 win over Mission Bay High School in his following game. The 13th of December saw him score a career-high 77 points, including nine three-pointers, in a 116-52 victory over Kearny High School.
