Shosetsuka ni Naro was the first web novel to feature the character Banished from the hero’s party. It was then adapted into a light novel by Kadokawa Shoten and released in June 2018. Since then, eleven more installments have been published. Yen Press holds light novel licenses for North America. On November 8, 2022, they published the manga’s seventh volume.
