A fresh InsiderAdvantage/FOX 29 report from Philadelphia According to a Philadelphia survey, Dr. Mehmet Oz, the Republican candidate for Pennsylvania’s U.S. Senate, is just ahead of Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman.
The Nov. 3 poll, which surveyed 750 likely voters and had a margin of error of 3.58%, found that with just three days until the election on Nov. 8, the race between the top two candidates is still close.
In the high-profile contest that has the potential to change the political landscape of the crucial swing state, Oz is in the lead with 48% to Fetterman’s 46%. Erik Gerhardt, a libertarian candidate, has a 2% support rate, and 4% of respondents are still uncertain.
While Oz leads among white male voters between the ages of 40 and 64, Fetterman leads by 13 points among women and by more than 60 points among voters who identify as African Americans.

“This race appears to have a photo finish. Oz has consistently topped both of our post-debate polls. Our post-debate survey revealed that respondents thought Oz won by about 30% “said Matt Towery, chairman of InsiderAdvantage. “However, many early ballots were made prior to the debate when Fetterman was ahead in our polls. The sole discussion between the two candidates, should Oz ultimately prevail, will be the main factor in his triumph.”
Towery predicted that Fetterman might win after receiving Oprah’s support. “Oprah Winfrey’s support for Fetterman could help him gain more attention. Barack Obama’s appearance in Winfrey’s support at the 2008 South Carolina Presidential Primary set Obama on the road to victory that year.”

The margin of victory in the battle to become the next governor of Pennsylvania has shrunk slightly, with Shapiro losing his 10-point advantage over Mastriano.
Shapiro scored 51%, down one point from the previous survey, and Mastriano surged to 43%, up six points. Matt Hackenburg, the libertarian candidate, received 2% of the vote, and 4% of those surveyed said they were still unsure.

Mastriano significantly outperforms Shapiro among voters who identify as independent, voters under 40, and women of colour.

“Most of the survey’s demographics place Shapiro in the lead. Mastriano, though, is up by about 15 points among self-described independent voters “the opinion of Towery. “Approximately 4% of responders claim to be unsure. To bridge the gap in this race and give the Republicans a victory would be a challenge.”
