Florida’s TAMPA (WFLA) — According to the Tampa Police Department, a guy was shot early on Sunday morning in Ybor City and has since died.
Officers were called to a shooting at the junction of East 7th Avenue and North 16th Street at around 2:50 in the morning. They discovered a 20-year-old man wounded in the upper body.

A dispute broke out at the crossroads, according to public information officer Crystal Clark, and it became worse until Jatony Tykeese Torres, 21, of Tampa grabbed a revolver and shot the 20-year-old. What started the argument is still unknown.
The victim was brought in serious condition to a nearby hospital, but he passed away a short time later.
According to Clark, officers who were close and assisting in the street cleanup after business hours saw the gunshot.
As a result, she continued, “They actually observed what happened and were able to start following after that guy.” He was apprehended just three blocks away.
Torres was charged with felony carrying a concealed firearm after being questioned by investigators and with aggravated battery with grievous bodily harm with a deadly weapon. However, the first-degree murder charge was added to the aggravated battery indictment.
When two drunken individuals are arguing in the middle of the street and one of them makes the terrible decision to draw a gun, the outcome is never positive, according to Clark. From a police perspective, though, this was the best-case scenario for us because there were so many officers nearby.

In addition, she claimed that there was a third man in the crowd who shot at the moment. Police are still searching for that second gunman even though there is no evidence that he shot anyone.
For someone to take a gun and start firing into a throng of people, Clark added, “It’s really risky.” “Tampa is a very popular tourist destination, and this area is very congested. We want people to feel secure coming here, to be able to go out at night and just have fun with their pals.
