Orlando Bloom says that his long-term relationship with Katy Perry is hard work. On October 23, 2010, Katy Perry married Russell Brand in a traditional Hindu ceremony near the Ranthambhore tiger sanctuary in Rajasthan, India.
Brand announced their separation from one other on December 30, 2011, following only 14 months of marriage. Perry started dating Orlando Bloom at the beginning of 2016, and they got engaged on February 14, 2019.
Orlando Bloom told Flaunt magazine in a cover story published Wednesday –
“We’re in two very different pools.”
“Her pool is not a pool that I necessarily understand, and I think my pool is not a pool that she necessarily understands. Sometimes things are really, really, really challenging.”
“I won’t lie. We definitely battle with our emotions and creativity, [but] I think we’re both aware of how blessed we are to have uniquely connected in the way that we did at the time that we did, and there’s definitely never a dull moment.”
Bloom, who is 46, said that one of the hardest things is being far away from the pop star, who is 38 because they both have busy work schedules.
Their relationship has had both good and bad times. In January 2016, the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor and Perry started dating, but in March 2017, they told each other’s reps that they were “taking a respectful, loving space at this time.”

Later, the “American Idol” judge said that she was very close to killing herself when they broke up. But in February 2018, they found their way back to each other and fell in love again. In September of that year, they walked the red carpet for the first time. On Valentine’s Day of 2019, they got engaged.
Perry has also been honest about how much she respects Bloom despite their problems. In January 2020, she told Vogue India –
“I have a partner who is also all about finding balance: Orlando, who is on his own spiritual journey. He’s an anchor who holds me down, and he’s very real.”
In March of that year, the “Teenage Dream” singer said she was pregnant with the couple’s first child. She showed off her baby bump in the music video for her song “Never Worn White.”
At the time, Perry and Bloom were making plans for a summer wedding in Japan, but they had to put the wedding off because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In August 2020, the couple said that Perry had given birth to their daughter, Daisy Dove. They said in a statement to UNICEF at the time –
“We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter.”
“But we know we’re the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was.”

In March 2021, there were rumors that Perry and Bloom were married. In February 2022, she shut down the rumors by saying that COVID was still getting in the way of their plans. From 2010 to 2013, the star of “Carnival Row” was married to model Miranda Kerr. Flynn, who is 12, is their son.
Perry has a close relationship with Kerr and told Flynn in May 2022 that her fiance is “a great dad.” From 2010 to 2012, the “Firework” singer was married to the comedian Russell Brand.
