Desperate Housewives is an American comedy-drama-mystery TV show made by ABC Studios and Cherry Productions. It was created by Marc Cherry. It ran on ABC from October 3, 2004, to May 13, 2012, for a total of 180 episodes over eight seasons.
The show was run by Marc Cherry, who was also an executive producer. Since the fourth season, Bob Daily, George W. Perkins, John Pardee, Joey Murphy, David Grossman, and Larry Shaw have all been executive producers as well.
Desperate Housewives takes place on Wisteria Lane, a street in the made-up town of Fairview in the made-up state of Eagle State. It shows the lives of a group of women through the eyes of their friend and neighbor, who killed herself in the first episode.
