The Witcher: Blood Origin will soon hit Netflix and will be released by the streaming giant anytime in 2022. Earlier it was said and was also made public by Netflix that the series will be streaming over its platform in 2021. This could not happen due to many reasons, which include the pandemic.

Even Netflix realizes the stakes of the series and its craziness amongst the fans. Hence the streaming giant is not going to miss this opportunity and is going to make the most out of it. The Witcher: Blood Origin

The Witcher was released at the end of 2019 which is in December. Hence, we are guessing that this series will also hit Netflix in December 2022. This date is however subject to change and may be shifted to a further date if any unavoidable circumstances arise. 

Netflix announced in July of 2020 that the series will be a mini-series and will be having six parts. The shooting for the series started in August 2021, in the United Kingdom. The series will be directed by Sarah O’Gorman and Vicky Jewson.

The prequel is going to be based on thousands of years before The witcher. To be specific, the series is going to be based 1200 years prior to our hero, Geralt. The prequel will have numerous interesting events like it will portray the making of the first one that is the first witcher. The show will also feature the Conjunction of the spheres. 

We have brought the official synopsis from Netflix which is, “Set in an elven world 1200 years before the world of The Witcher, Blood Origin will tell a story lost to time – the creation of the first prototype Witcher, and the events that lead to the pivotal “conjunction of the spheres,” when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one.”
