Will There Be A Wednesday Season 2 Or Not?
While we know the show’s creators and performers are enthusiastic, Netflix has not yet confirmed their involvement. In a recent interview with TVLine, co-showrunner Miles Millar discussed the possibility of a second season, saying, “We felt like we just skimmed the surface with those characters and the actors are so fantastic in those parts…”
For my money, Catherine [Zeta-Jones] is the quintessential Morticia. Wednesday and Morticia’s connection is crucial to the success of the show, as is the concept that Wednesday is forging her own path outside the family.
Plus Producer and co-creator Alfred Gough said, “Miles [Millar] and I are chatting between ourselves about it.” This statement left the door open for a potential sequel. There’s a lot more to learn about the Addams family.”
Like the first season, Alfred added that other members of Wednesday’s family would appear in certain episodes, but that the series will continue to center on her. Actress Gwendoline Christie has hinted at returning for a second season in a comment that contains spoilers (so skip ahead if you haven’t caught up on the show):
“Have we not witnessed her burial?” an ex-Game of Thrones cast member remarked in an interview with the publication. Larissa Weems “would not truly be prepared to entertain or be ruled by anything as ordinary as death,” I feel. No-ted!

Wednesday Season 2 Expected Release Date?
It’s difficult to estimate once more! Nonetheless, if we consider the first season’s timeline, we see that production began in September 2021 and ended in March 2022 (plus the additional 8 months it took for the show to reach our screens). If Netflix renews Wednesday and sticks to the same formula, production on Season 2 would take six months, followed by another eight in the post, putting the premiere date in the first half of 2024. Timeline manifestation, here I come!
