26 January, SEOUL (Yonhap) — The concept albums by the K-pop boy band Tomorrow X Together are collections of songs that are all related to tell a story. The group is releasing a new album of this type on Friday. It has five songs that portray the growing pains that young adults go through.
“The Name Chapter: Temptation,” the group’s fifth EP, deftly unfolds the tale of youth swaying in front of the temptation to live in the present, enjoy freedom, and engage in amusement despite knowing they must grow up.
The album’s song “Happy Fools,” which features the American rapper Coi Leray, was co-composed by member Yeonjun, and all five other members contributed to the lyrics.

The quintet stated that they came to participate in the lyrics composition because BTS producer Bang Si-hyuk requested the song should incorporate their own stories of life during a media preview for the next album held Thursday.
“Everybody experiences times in their lives when they are twisted. I tried to remember “a sad time” when I composed the lyrics, “Beomgyu remarked during the showcase at the southern Seoul COEX convention center.

“It is about a joyful fool who puts off doing things because they detest their continuously repeated daily routines and prefer to live in the moment rather than worry about the future. Others may think you’re lost, but I believe it’s occasionally healthy to live in the moment.”
The album’s lead track, “Sugar Rush Ride,” is an alternative pop dance song about males who give in to the devil’s seductive but terrible temptation.
The other three songs in “Temptation” are “Devil by the Window,” “Tinnitus (Wanna Be a Rock”), and “Farewell, Neverland.” Soobin, the team’s leader, advised listeners to the songs so they could follow the characters’ moods and emotions as they progressed.
Since their fourth EP, “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child,” the group has only released “Temptation.” The EP ended up being the group’s best-performing endeavor to date. It lasted 14 weeks at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 main albums list.

Additionally, the upcoming album is anticipated to surpass the group’s previous best because, according to its distributor YG Plus, 2.16 million copies had been preordered as of Wednesday, two days before its release.
Based on Circle Chart, South Korea’s standard music sales chart, the amount eclipsed the band’s fourth EP, “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child,” which had overall sales of more than 1.8 million copies.
“The outcome truly astonished me. I realized we were receiving this much love at that point. I appreciate MOA for providing us with such a beneficial outcome, “said Hueningkai.
