Idaho’s BOISE According to the Idaho State Police, two persons died after three vehicles crashed on Highway 55 in Valley County on Friday afternoon (ISP).
According to ISP, the collision happened at around 1:04 p.m. around mile marker 137. In a Ford pickup truck, a 47-year-old Boise resident was traveling south when he crossed the centre line and sideswiped another car. A 70-year-old Cascade resident was operating that Ford Explorer.

The Subaru Crosstrek, which was being operated by a 28-year-old Twin Falls lady, impacted the Ford Explorer when it crossed into the opposing lane as a result of the collision.
The Twin Falls woman passed away at the scene of the accident, according to the police, as a result of her injuries. The Cascade woman was transported by ground ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment of her wounds, but she subsequently passed away there.
According to ISP, the drivers of the pickup and the Explorer were both wearing seatbelts, but the Subaru driver was not.

For more than three hours, both lanes of Highway 55 were stopped, and then after another 45 minutes, just one lane remained blocked. Now that both lanes are open. The Idaho State Police is looking into the collision.
