Since its release in January, Fire Emblem Engage has received a plethora of downloadable content (DLC) that expands not only the game’s story but also the gameplay and character roster. The results of a February poll conducted by Nintendo Dream Magazine have just been released.
There were 39 playable characters in the poll, and the top 25 were displayed. Only Japanese Nintendo Dream magazine subscribers could participate in the Poll.
Fire Emblem Introduces New Characters
Much of the following characters’ information has been provided on Twitter through the game’s official account,
@FireEmblemJP. Thank you to
@SerenesForest for supplying translations for each character update.
10. Ivy
The Elusian Crown Princess Ivy came in at number 10 in the survey. While the player must initially fight as an opponent, after her father died in Chapter 11, she joins the players and helps save Alear and their allies from being pursued by the Four Wings after losing all of their rings.
The ivy unit is a potent one. She can begin as a Wing Tamer and eventually advance to Lindwurm, granting her access to Tomes and Staff.
9. Veyle
Sombron’s daughter and Alear’s sister Veyle ranks ninth. Her genuine nature is compassionate and generous, but Zephia and Sombron have also manipulated her into developing a darker side.
When she finally manages to break free of their influence, she joins Alear and company in their quest to defeat Sombron and the other two surviving members of the Four Wings, Zephia and Griss. As a Fell Child, she is skilled with Emblems, Tomes, and blades.
8. Pandreo
Many people may be astonished to see Pandreo in the eighth position. He’s Fogado’s retainer and the older brother of Panette, Timerra’s. Both of their families are from the Solm kingdom. He and his sister ran away from their parents when they were young, but he eventually returned to take over the family church.
His charismatic nature is only part of what endears him to fans; he also proves invaluable on the battlefield. From the get-go, his position as High Priest grants him access to the Books, the Staff, and the Arts.
7. Celine
Alfred’s younger sister, Celine, is the Princess of the Firene Kingdom. She is a graceful Princess devoted to her kingdom and would risk all to protect her subjects. It’s not hard to see why people voted her into seventh place. She is thoughtful and caring, and frequently frets for her older brother’s well-being.
Even as a group, Celine stands alone. She begins as a Noble but can rise through the ranks to become a Vidame. She is adept with books and blades and may use her Staff to aid other troops in battle.
6. Sommie
Sommie, the smallest and cutest of the top 10 oddballs, lives in a shrine inside the Somniel’s grotto and occupies the number six slot. Alear can strengthen the bond by feeding and petting it.
It can also be outfitted with gear by the player. Sommie first hung around with Lumera, then followed Alear. After spending time together, Sommie becomes Alear’s constant companion in the Somniel, even joining in on the fun during minigames.
5. Yunaka
At the beginning of Chapter 6, the players meet Yunaka on their quest to acquire the Emblem of Dawn, Micaiah’s ring. In part because of her eccentric personality and speech patterns, Yunaka has quickly risen to the top five.
As a unit, Yunaka holds its own. As a former criminal, she already possesses exceptional knife skills. She may not be a robust machine, but her agility and quickness are unparalleled.
Alcryst is Crown Prince Diamant’s younger brother and the second Prince of the Brodia Kingdom. He has a shallow opinion of himself and often compares himself negatively to his sibling. He’s in fourth place because the character growth he’s shown in his Supports has made him a fan favorite.
Ignoring his eccentric nature, he is a fantastic soldier who is a master with a bow. He went from Lord to Tireur d’élite, making him one of the best archers in the game.
3. Alfred
Alfred, Crown Prince of Firenze and older brother of Celine enters the top three. In the face of adversity, it’s important to remember that you’re not alone. Prince Alfred is a gentle soul with a passion for floral arrangements. Many gamers find him endearing because he is one of the game’s best-written characters.
He’s a top-notch soldier, much like the rest of the royal cast. He can begin as a Noble and work up to the Avenir rank. He is well-versed in using the lance and sword, as befits a cavalryman.
2. Diamant
Diamant, Crown Prince of the Brodia Kingdom and older brother of Alcryst, is the game’s number two most famous character. Despite his reserved demeanor, the Prince greatly supports his younger sibling.
He becomes a part of Alear in the eighth chapter, and his power is immediately apparent because of his excellent base numbers. Ultimately, it’s up to you to decide whether or not to take advantage of the situation.
1. Alear
Unsurprisingly, Alear, the game’s protagonist, won the fan vote for their favorite character in Nintendo Dream. There was no differentiation between male and female Alear in this survey. Being the protagonist, the player’s opinion of Alear likely changed as the game progressed.
Alear’s incredible speed and agility make her an excellent unit, and players seem to find her a lot of fun to employ. As a Dragon Child, Alear is adept at using Emblems; as a Divine Dragon, they get access to Arts in addition to Swords.
