The King of Fighters: The wildly successful King of Fighters series will soon get a new installment. The wildly famous fighting game from SNK has a long and colorful history, dating back to 1994 when it was initially released.
It’s been six years since the previous King of Fighters game, but it’s about time for the next one. Fighting game lovers might be in for a treat in 2022, with the likes of DNF Duel and a probable Street Fighter 6 unveiling.

The King of Fighters’ Latest News

Six new characters were introduced as part of SNK’s King of Fighters 15 Roadmap, which included two teams of six fighters. Release dates have been set for both Teams GAROU and SOUTH TOWN for March and May, respectively, 2022.
Both groups are included in the first batch of Team Passes that may be purchased. Within Team Pass 2, two additional teams will be released. The following is a list of all of the confirmed DLC characters:

The King of Fighters Release Date
For the PlayStation 5, the PlayStation 4, the Xbox Series X|S, Windows 10, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, King of Fighters 15 will be available on February 17th, 2022.
The King of Fighters Gameplay Features
One of KOF XV’s most anticipated additions is a return of the series’ old 3v3 fighting system. ‘Shatter Strike,’ a new gameplay concept, will allow players to block opposing strikes.
Thanks to an updated “RUSH” feature, you may now carry out combos by rapidly hitting the attack buttons.
With all of these new elements, SNK claims that the fights in this game will be “All these features, including revamped and vibrant special moves, will ensure fights in this game feel more explosive than ever”
A bonus for fans of the fighting genre will be rollback netcode, which will help keep lag times low and the overall gaming experience smooth.
The King of Fighters Character Database
Among the 39 playable characters in King of Fighters 15, you’ll find a mix of old favorites and newcomers. All 39 combatants have been unveiled, and you can see them all by following the link provided above.
It’s worth noting, though, that the game’s developers have previously said that additional characters will be available through downloadable content (DLC).
