Bloody Disgusting says that people will have to wait a little longer to see The Black Demon in theaters. The upcoming shark movie will now hit theaters on April 28.
The movie was supposed to come out on April 21, but the new date moves it closer to the summer movie season. The plot of the movie is still a secret, but it is likely to be about an oilman named Paul Sturges who takes his family to Bahia Negra, which is now a ghost town.
During his time there, he finds out that a mythical beast has been brought back to life by a platform out at sea. He and his family decide to find out more about the problem, so they go to the platform. There, they meet a giant black shark that k!lls everything in its path and keeps attacking the oil rig.

Who Is in The Black Demon? The movie is based on a Mexican myth, and Josh Lucas (The Forever Purge), Fernanda Urrejola (Narcos: Mexico), and Julio Cesar Cedillo b (Sicario) star in it. Rambo: Last Blood director Adrian Grünberg is in talks to lead the project.
Carlos Cisco wrote the story for the movie, and Boise Esquerra wrote the script for it. There’s no word yet on when the official trailer will come out, but since the movie is coming out in April, it probably won’t be too long before people get their first look at the upcoming monster movie.
Even though there have been a lot of shark movies, like Jaws, The Shallows, and 47 Meters Down, the new one could still be a scary treat for audiences when it comes out this spring. But The Black Demon won’t be the only scary movie this year with a scary giant shark.
The Meg 2: The Trench will be released on August 4 by Warner Bros. It is the follow-up to the 2018 smash hit The Meg, which made over $400 million at the worldwide box office. Ben Wheatley is set to direct the sequel, which will be based on the popular books by Steve Alten.
Jason Statham will be back in the lead role. Shark geeks have a lot to look forward to this year, as there are several projects in the works. On April 28, The Black Demon swims into theaters.
