Everything we know about Ginny and Georgia Season 3, from the release date to the cast to the rumors surrounding the plot, is right here.

In February 2017, Ginny and Georgia debuted on Netflix. Rotten Tomatoes gave the first season a Fresh rating even though critics were divided, and 52 million homes were said to have watched it in the first month after its debut.

Three hundred eighty-one million hours were watched across all of Netflix’s platforms, prompting the network to order a second season. It was released in January of this year and immediately went to the top of the charts, where it stayed for weeks.

Fans are still catching up on both seasons, so here’s what we know about the increasing clamor for a third installment. Following are spoilers for the second season of Ginny and Georgia.

Will There Be a Third Season of Ginny and Georgia?

Seasons 3 and 4 of Ginny and Georgia will air on Netflix because the show was renewed for two more seasons on May 17, 2023.

Sarah Lampert, who collaborates with showrunner Debra J. Fisher, has expressed interest in a third season of The Hollywood Reporter. She explained that the Netflix team “waits 30 days to get all the numbers and before we have a talk,” based on her experience with the first season.

“What’s great is that we all have TVs, and we can see that we’re number one. I think Netflix did tell us we’re number one in 84 countries, and that was a few days ago, so maybe more. That certainly bodes well for us in 30 days if that keeps going the way it is.”

“But Netflix’s policy is they wait 30 days to see all the data, and then fingers crossed, they will give us a Season 3. We’re not writing any scripts or anything like that, but we know where we want to go. We would love to get up and running in a writer’s room to get going with this.”

“Seeing everybody watch the show and all the excitement for it, I will say that it’s been hard not to think about season three and where we want to go. Because when Sarah and I pitched the show to Netflix, we did pitch four seasons, so we knew what we wanted the end game to be. We know what we want the last episode to be.”
