U.S. Senate – South Carolina
Tim Scott, a U.S. senator from South Carolina, is seeking reelection to what he claims is his final six-year term. U.S. Senate – Georgia
Georgia voters will decide whether to re-elect Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock to his first full term or to replace him with Republican candidate Herschel Walker in one of the nation’s most important midterm elections. Due to Georgia’s election procedures and the presence of a third-party candidate, a runoff election on December 6 may be necessary if no candidate receives 50% of the vote.
Georgia Governor
In a rerun of the state’s previous governor’s contest, Republican Brian Kemp and Democratic opponent Stacey Abrams are battling it out in Georgia. Shane Hazel, a libertarian who is also running for office, has the potential to cause a runoff in December by preventing the other candidates from obtaining an overwhelming majority.
As polls begin to close in certain parts of the country, if you’re in line at your polling place before it closes—stay in line.
