Santa Rosa Car Crash: Traffic Collision Along Highway 101 Leaves One Dead

A 13-year-old girl slammed it into three other cars, a utility pole, and a street sign in Santa Rosa. According to a news statement from Santa Rosa police Sgt. Summer Gloeckner, officers found a “severely damaged” black Tesla on the 700 block of King Street when they arrived on the scene of the incident at 4:35 in the morning.

Three young people were discovered nearby, strolling away from the Tesla. All had, “miraculously,” only sustained minor wounds. The young people informed police that after losing control of the vehicle on King Street, the female hit a dip in the road and further lost control.

Officers informed the parents of the children about the collision. Lt. Chris Mahurin said the 13-year-old girl was not issued a citation. The California Highway Patrol reported late Saturday night that at least one person was killed in a traffic collision involving a single car and a pedestrian along U.S. Highway 101 in Santa Rosa.

A black Chevrolet Camaro is thought to have struck a person at about 11:29 on Saturday night in Santa Rosa, north of the Todd Road onramp. Unidentified pedestrians perished at the site. Two lanes of Highway 101 were stopped by the collision, and the CHP issued a SigAlert at 12:03 a.m. on Sunday.
