Queen Elizabeth II’s doctors have said that she is “under medical surveillance” because of their fears for her health. Her “close family” has been made aware of the physicians’ concerns and they have urged that she be medically supervised, according to a statement released by Buckingham Palace on Thursday. Prince William and other members of the royal family have arrived at her Scottish home, Balmoral. Prince William, the second in line to the throne and the queen’s grandson, as well as her middle son Prince Andrew and her youngest son Prince Edward arrived at the castle in a car. Prince Charles, the next in line to the throne, and Princess Anne, his sister, had already arrived at the house. According to a spokeswoman, Harry would go to Balmoral by himself, the BBC was informed.
The decision comes one day after the 96-year-old head of state, who is also the longest-reigning monarch in British history, cancelled a meeting with her top political advisors and was advised to take it easy. Since October of last year, the queen has struggled with health issues that have made it difficult for her to stand or move.

The palace’s announcement regarding the queen’s health is quite unusual and comes after she appeared noticeably frailer recently and repeatedly cancelled public appearances. She started using a stick to help her walk, and earlier this year at the Chelsea Flower Show, she was spotted visiting the grounds in a motorised buggy.
Royal analyst and novelist Robert Hardman told the BBC that until there is a significant change in the queen’s health, the palace does not release bulletins on it.
The queen was declared incapacitated by a case of Covid in February, which she acknowledged had left her “exhausted.” The palace has not provided any additional information in an official statement, merely stating that the queen has been experiencing “episodic mobility issues.” In October 2021, she spent an unplanned night in a hospital in the heart of London and was given the go-slow signal.
Notes were provided to Truss and senior members of her staff in parliament just before the statement by the palace, causing them to leave the room. After making a statement in the Commons, Truss tweeted nearly immediately.
She stated that the entire nation “will be very concerned” and that “Her Majesty The Queen and her family” were on everyone’s minds in the United Kingdom.

Chancellor of Canterbury The queen was in his prayers, according to Justin Welby, the top cleric in the Church of England, which the queen leads. He tweeted, “May God’s strength and comfort be with Her Majesty, her family, and those looking after her in Balmoral.”
Also sending their best wishes were the political figures from Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, which are part of the United Kingdom.
Elizabeth is currently celebrating her Platinum Jubilee, or seven decades on the throne, after succeeding her father George VI in 1952. She has increasingly delegated tasks to Prince Charles and other royal family members in recent months as she has difficulty moving about.
