An additional one of Kari Lake’s legal challenges about her loss to Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs (D) in the midterm elections has been dismissed by a state court. The judge who heard the case said that there was no evidence to back the Republican candidate’s assertion that she won.

This is the second verdict against the former candidate for governor’s attempt to establish that she won the election, which was handed out on Thursday.

“Lake’s arguments highlight Election Day difficulties, but her request for relief fails because the evidence presented to the superior court ultimately supports the court’s conclusion that voters were able to cast their ballots, that votes were counted correctly, and that no other basis justifies setting aside the election results,” the court said in its opinion rejecting Lake’s claims.

After her loss by a margin of a little more than 17,000 votes, Lake stated that the problems with the ballot printing at some polling stations were the result of deliberate misconduct on the part of election officials. The court stated that she did not give any evidence to support her claim that voters whose ballots could not be read by tabulators at the polling stations were unable to cast their votes at those locations.

In point of fact, the court stated that an expert who testified on behalf of Lake admitted that it was physically possible for ballots that could not be read to be submitted at polling places.

“Lake’s cybersecurity expert confirmed that any misconfigured ballots (or ballots that on-site tabulators could not read for other reasons) could be submitted physically through secure ‘Door 3,’ duplicated onto a readable ballot by a bipartisan board at Maricopa County’s central tabulation facility, and ultimately counted,” the court said.

On Twitter, Lake provided her response to the ruling that was handed down by the court, in which she indicated that she will appeal the case further to the state Supreme Court.

“I told you we would take this case all the way to the Arizona Supreme Court, and that’s exactly what we are going to do. Buckle up, America!” she wrote. Lake has been a loud supporter of Trump’s false claims that he lost the 2020 election because someone else stole it from him.
