Mabel Sotto who was using her other name Mabel Academia shared on her Facebook page earlier that her hometown is Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Her daughter and other family wished her on her 60th birthday which fell on November 28. Mabel died when she was only 60.
Her full name was Mabel Academia Sotto. It does not know where she spent her childhood but she was living in Manila at the time of her death. She went to Pilar College, Zamboanga City, and completed her high schooling there in 1979.
She then graduated from Silliman University in 1983. She also had an Interior design certificate from a Philippine School. Mabel also had her Mass Communication internship in GMA 7 Manila.
