Apple’s long-rumored augmented and virtual reality headset is almost ready after years of research. Prior to its annual WWDC conference in June, Apple intends to introduce the device this spring, according to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg.
Apple apparently shared the headset with a select group of well-known software developers, giving them an early peek at its new “xrOS” operating system, as a sign that a launch is finally in the works. Gurman anticipates Apple will release “Reality Pro” in the fall after making the announcement in the spring.

The remainder of Apple’s 2023 product range will be impacted by the final push to get the headset out the door. Software-wise, Apple’s reassignment of software engineers to the xrOS team means that the company’s upcoming release of its iOS operating system is likely to contain “fewer important changes than originally expected.”

Gurman continues, “MacOS 14 is the same.” Even less exciting are Apple’s hardware ambitions. There are no upcoming “of note” improvements from the firm for the iPad, Apple Watch, or audio lines.
New iPad Pro models with OLED panels are coming, according to Gurman, although they probably won’t happen until 2024. He expresses his concern that the next Apple Silicon MacPro will be “yet another disappointment.”

According to reports, the upcoming desktop will have the same design as its 2019 forerunner, and due to Apple’s M-series chipset architecture, you won’t be able to expand the computer’s RAM on your own.

A new 15-inch MacBook Air and the iPhone 15 may be the sole highlights in a lackluster release schedule. Gurman claims that the latter will be present throughout the whole iPhone 15 series, along with USB-C charging and Apple’s new Dynamic Island feature.
The Pro models will also have haptic volume buttons and redesigned titanium frames.
