Season 2 of Locke and Key premiered last year on Netflix. Those who have already surfed the net and have seen all episodes are now eagerly waiting for the next season to arrive.
Before getting on to that point, here is everything you need to know about the previous season. Carlton Cuse, Meredith Averill, and Aron Eli Coleite are the developers of the fantasy horror drama. Rauf Glasgow, Kevin Lafferty, and Nishpeksh Mehra are the producers of the American TV series.
Locke and Key Season 2 Plot
Without giving you any spoilers, here are some of the details of the show that will increase your interest.
The story begins with the murder of Rendell Locke, where Sam Lesser, a former student of the Academy, is the culprit. After his murder, Nina, his wife, decides to shift her residence from Seattle to Matheson, Massachusetts. She also takes her three children, namely Tyler, Kinsey, and Bode, along with her. They take shelter at the Keyhouse, which is Rendell’s family home.
The three children soon discover various mysterious keys that are used to unlock different doors throughout the house. All the doors opened in various magical ways. While doing so, they come to know about the demonic entity, which is also trying to find the keys for its evil purpose.

By the end of Season 1, the children come to know that they are the new keepers of the key. However, Season 2 focuses on realizing this responsibility. It also shares their experience of turning 18. They deal with heavier things than their father’s death in Season 2.
By the end of Season 1, we came to know that Dodge was still alive and all set to continue her hunt for the mysterious keys. For those who haven’t seen it yet, the origin story of the keys is also displayed.
Locke and Key Season 2 Release Date
The second season of the show got released on 22nd October 2021. It consisted of ten episodes that got released on the same day.
Talking of the next season, Carlton and Meredith both are looking forward to its return. So, officially, Locke and Key will be back with its next season. Now, it is up to Netflix when it will drop the episodes of Season 3.
Locke and Key Season 2 Cast
Nina Locke, played by Darby Stanchfield, is the matriarch of the Locke family.
Tyler Locke, played by Connor Jessup, is the eldest son in the Locke family.
Kinsey Locke, played by Emilia Jones, is the middle child of the Locke family. She is the only daughter of the family.
Bode Locke, played by Jackson Robert Scott, is the youngest son of the Locke family.
Scot Cavendish, played by Petrice Jones, is a student filmmaker at the Matheson Academy. He is a British and the love interest of Kinsey.
Dodge, played by Laysla De Oliveira, is the “well lady” of the Locke family. Later, it is revealed that she is a demonic lady.
Gabe, played by Griffin Gluck, is the male form of Dodge. He is acting as a student at Matheson Academy.
Duncan Locke, played by Aaron Ashmore, is the younger brother of Rendell.
Eden Hawkins, played by Hallea Jones, is Jackie’s best friend. At the end of Season 1, he gets possessed by a demonic entity.
Josh Bennett, played by Brendan Hines, is a teacher at the Matheson Academy. Nina likes him very much, and he is a descendant of Frederick Gideon.
