One of the most stable partnerships in Hollywood is that of Katie Couric and John Molner. In June 2022, Katie disclosed that she received a breast canceɼ diagnosis. She also discussed how her husband had helped her during her canceɼ treatment.
The renowned journalist outlined how her diagnosis became known on their eighth wedding anniversary. It seemed to allude to their wedding anniversary and her most recent prognosis. He captioned the Instagram post:
“We will get older among this crowd. The water roars and rumbles down. Just you and me— And the road ahead.”
When the former Today host opened up about her diagnosis, she also spoke about loved ones she had who had battled canceɼ.
“My now-husband John had a tum0r the size of a coconut on his liver, which was surgically removed just a few months before we got married,” she wrote in the post.

Who is Katie Couric husband?
On June 21, 2014, at her Hamptons home, Katie Couric and renowned news anchor John Molner exchanged vows. Couric lost her husband Jay Monahan to colon canceɼ in 1998 and told in 2018:
“It took me a long time [to marry again] because I loved being married and I love being married now. And I’m not a solitary person. I like company.”
“And John is so funny. He’s just got this incredibly dry and wry sense of humor, and he doesn’t take himself too seriously. And he’s just fun to be around.”
Molner studied at Trinity College before earning his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Molner retired from banking in 2014 after a long career, although he is now a Senior Adviser with BHH Capital Partners.
When Molner co-starred in the cooking program Full Plate With Katie & John in 2017, he joined his wife on screen. The pair also co-founded Katie Couric Media, which:

When Did the Couple Meet?
Couric first met Molner after asking her friend Molly whether she knew any single surgeons. Although Molly claimed she didn’t, she was aware of a banker who would be of interest to Couric. When Molner failed to respond, Couric asked her buddy once more, which prompted Molner to request a date.
“He had me at hello,” Couric told about the first time they met.
“Sometimes we get angry at each other,” Couric told: “Sometimes I feel like he can be tough and I’m sure he thinks I’m insane.”
“But for the most part, he’s really good company … and I can totally be myself with him, sometimes maybe to a fault. I just love being married,” she said.
