Even after a terrifying accident on Saturday night at Hard Rock Stadium, Kam Kinchens seems to be in good spirits. Late in the contest, Kinchens needed to be carried off the field after appearing to have an upper-body injury while making a tackle against Texas A&M.
He was eventually taken to the adjacent Ryder Trauma Center. It appears that Kinchens’ injury may not be as serious as first thought. Miami published this image of the prominent safety passing “The U” from his hospital bed late on Saturday night:

Kam Kinchens Injury Update
Kam Kinchens, a talented defensive back for Miami, was carried off the field during the Hurricanes’ 48-33 victory over No. 23 Texas A&M on Saturday but is now healing and is “in good shape.”
After the terrifying fourth-quarter incident, Kinchens, who was discharged from the hospital on Sunday, is not anticipated to be out for a lengthy period of time. Miami coach Mario Cristobal told WQAM:
“Kam is good. Ran all the tests and all the evaluations and he’s in good shape, He’s going to be well. He’s going to be really good. He doesn’t have anything that’s too serious, he just has some football stuff and he’s going to be in great shape.”
With two minutes left, the Hurricanes were defending Texas A&M when Kinchens seemed to hit Aggies wide receiver Ainias Smith with a conventional hit. Kinchens’ body abruptly became rigid as he made contact with Smith during the tackle.
