Joe Burrow and Olivia Holzmacher have been together since they were college sweethearts at Ohio State University. This was before Burrow led the Cincinnati Bengals to the Super Bowl as quarterback.
Even though Burrow ended up going to Louisiana State University before Holzmacher graduated, that didn’t stop them from falling in love.
Holzmacher was still an Ohio State student the year he transferred. She posted a picture of herself and Burrow celebrating an LSU win with the caption “When you fangirl over your own boyfriend.”
After Burrow was selected first overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, Holzmacher wrote –
“Thankful to be by your side Joe … so excited for what the future holds.”
Holzmacher goes to Burrow’s Bengals games often to cheer for him, and they shared a few snaps from the stands during the 2022 season. Holzmacher posed for an Instagram photo on Oct. 23 while wearing a black sweatsuit with tiger faces on it. She joked about the festive outfit in the caption, writing –
“Don’t call me out if I wear the tiger suit again!”
Holzmacher was also there to cheer for Burrow when he played the Buffalo Bills in an AFC divisional game on January 22, 2023. Burrow led the Bengals to a win, which put them in the AFC championship game. Holzmacher put several photos and a video of her boyfriend warming up on the field before kickoff on her Instagram Story.

Holzmacher is known for helping Burrow celebrate when he wins at football, but she’s also there for him when he loses. Holzmacher posted a photo and video to her Instagram Story on January 29, 2023, from the stands of the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Cincinnati Bengals game, which Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals lost 23-20.
Joe Burrow and his girlfriend Olivia Holzmacher are a discreet couple, but here’s all you need to know about Olivia. Holzmacher and Burrow started dating in August 2017, and it wasn’t long before they posted their first photo together on Instagram.
In the same month, Holzmacher posted a picture of herself and Burrow cuddled up on the football field at Ohio State University, where they were both students at the time. She captioned the photo –

Burrow moved to Louisiana State University, but Holzmacher kept going to Ohio State to study social sciences and data analytics. She was part of the Alpha Phi sorority when she was in college, and she was in charge of the group.
Holzmacher graduated in 2019, the same year Burrow won the Heisman Trophy and the national championship with LSU.
Holzmacher is a senior process specialist and analyst at Kroger, which is what her LinkedIn says. She says that her job is to make dashboards for Kroger’s online shopping pick-up and delivery services and to give “insight to operational metrics and customer experiences.”
The Ohio State grad didn’t start liking football just because she fell in love with Burrow; she’s always liked the sport. In 2015, she posted a picture of herself cheering for the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field with the caption “Go pack go” –

Holzmacher has posted pictures of herself on Instagram wearing Burrow’s number nine jersey. During Super Bowl weekend, she also posted a photo from SoFi Stadium where she was wearing Bengals’ colors. She wrote –
“Super Bowl LVI. Such an experience this weekend. Entirely proud. Thank you Cincinnati.”
Burrow and the Bengals didn’t make it to Super Bowl LVII, but the player and Holzmacher were able to go to Michael Rubin’s 2023 Fanatics Super Bowl Party on February 11, 2023.
At the event in Phoenix, Arizona, the couple wore casual clothes. Holzmacher wore a white button-down shirt, and Burrow wore a green shirt and a colorful bucket hat.
Just before she made her relationship with Burrow official, Holzmacher brought Beau the Goldendoodle into her family. She wrote on Instagram that he was “way too sweet and calm.”
Cup o’ Joe Burrow, the blue penguin, is a furry friend of Burrow’s who shares his name. During Burrow’s run to the Super Bowl, the penguin at the Cincinnati Zoo was named after him.
