After so many years and delays, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will finally hit theatres in the spring of 2022, offering fans of J.K. Rowling’s spacious Harry Potter film series a peek into one of the Fantasy World’s darkest times.
The third installment in the Fantastic Beasts franchise (though certainly not the last) will undoubtedly respond to some of the lingering questions we’ve all had since last seeing Newt Scamander and Albus Dumbledore in the incredibly busy The Crimes of Grindelwald back in 2018.
But, as we stand in line for the next installment of the franchise, it looks like a good time looking at what we learn already about Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, such as its release date, cast, and other key information that everybody should know.
Fantastic Beasts: the Secrets of Dumbledore Release Date Is Set for April 15, 2022
Audiences of the franchise have been waiting in anticipation for data on the cinematic run of Fantastic Beasts 3, and we’re happy to report that the next section isn’t far away. Warner Bros. eventually exposed the title Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore in September 2021, along with an April 15, 2022 launch date. Even so, this was not the only time a schedule had been floated over the years.
Warner Bros. announced an official announcement of November 12, 2021, in April 2019. Fantastic Beasts 3 was supposed to be released on November 20, 2020, but the studio changed the date to Dune (which was also delayed several times).
The filming of Fantastic Beasts 3 was originally scheduled to begin in July 2019 but was pushed back to late fall 2019. Filming has been pushed back yet again, this time to the spring of 2020 to coincide with the new November 2021 launch date. Then the COVID-19 pandemic occurred, and you know the storyline.
The Fantastic Beasts: the Secrets of Dumbledore Cast Is Led by Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, and Mads Mikkelsen
When Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is set to release, most of the performers from the first two films in the franchise will come back and play their classic characters, along with some new faces.
Eddie Redmayne plays the self-proclaimed magizoologist Newt Scamander. Ezra Miller as Credence Barbone/Aurelius Dumbledore, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski, Katherine Waterston as Tin Goldstein, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein, and Callum Turner as Theseus Scamander also come back.
Richard Coyle, Maria Fernanda Cândido, Oliver Masucci, William Nadylam, Jessica Williams, Poppy Corby-Tech, and others round out the cast.
The Secrets of Dumbledore Is Not the Final Movie of the Fantastic Beasts Saga
J.K. Rowling astonished fans by revealing that she intended to write five films for the Fantastic Beast’s installment. Producer David Heyman later clarified that she initially planned three movies, but as she delved deeper and started writing the first script, she realized there was a lot more tale to share and didn’t think she could satisfy it all into three films.
The Fantastic Beasts movie series is set to span from 1926 to 1945, with the final installment featuring the big duel between Grindelwald and Dumbledore. The second film was set in 1927, but Rowling implied that the third film would be set, at least to some extent, in the 1930s.
There has been no verification of the timeline for the third film. Would it result in the outbreak of World War II, or would that real-world conflict be left to fight out against the magical one in the 4th and 5th films? Only time will tell.
However, despite the reality that two more films are in the works, so little is identified about them during this time, other than the fact that the fourth installment will not be released for quite some moment.

Warner Bros. eventually revealed the long-awaited trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore in December 2021, and it didn’t fail. Furthermore to a certain amazing Harry Potter films references, the thrilling demonstration of witcher amazement demonstrates what is to be a fatal march to all-out war between the two groups led by Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald.
Even though Grindelwald’s forces of darkness appear to be as lethal as ever, Newt Scamander and his team (comprised of a magizoologist, a wizard from an ordinary family, a teacher, and a Muggle) are up to the challenge.
