Hit Monkey is an American adult animated series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is the newest addition to the Marvel Universe, and the kind of love it is getting indicates directly that this show will continue long in the future. The first digital comic of Hit Monkey appeared in April 2010, created by writer Daniel Way and artist Dalibor Talajić.

It also got featured in a three-issue story arc in Deadpool from the 19th edition to the 21st edition. Given the success of Hit Monkey, Activision announced that they would begin work on a game based on it. High Moon Studios, an American video game developer, was also involved in the game’s development. However, later it came out as a red herring intended to presage the release of the video game Deadpool.
Then on 17th November 2021, a TV series adaptation premiered on Hulu. Will Speck and Josh Gordon wrote the show, and it was executive produced for the first season of Hit Monkey. The showrunners originally envisioned it as part of a shared world that would have to lead up to a special titled The Offenders until it was declared to be a stand-alone series.

Hit Monkey Season 2 Plot
Hit Monkey features a snow monkey of the Japanese macaque species who travel the streets of Tokyo underworld with an American assassin.
Our protagonist arrives in Tokyo to carry out the assassination of a Prime Ministership candidate. One thing leads to another, and Bryce’s assailants track him down and assassinate him and the rest of the tribe, except Monkey, who survives the calamity.
Bryce’s soul then begins to visit Monkey, telling him to seek vengeance on those who have wronged him. As Hit-Monkey continues his rage, he encounters Lady Bullseye, who raises the stakes even higher. Hit-Monkey then enlists the help of Bryce to finish what he started.
Now in the second season of Hit-Monkey, we will see the showrunners building the character of Lady Bullseye. Since Hit-ego Monkey’s reputation has been tarnished, we may expect the supervillain to unleash her full power in the coming season.
