Fans said they wanted to see Eva Mendes on a red carpet with her boyfriend of over 12 years, Ryan Gosling. Eva recently explained why that won’t happen any time soon, not even for his upcoming Barbie movie premieres.
As one fan wrote –
“I really hope Barbie will get through the Awards Season just to see you w Ryan.”
In response, Eva told the user in the comments of her April 6 post, “we don’t do those things together.” In fact, she said that the only photos she feels “comfortable” sharing with the world are ones that are “already out there.”
She later said that what she meant by “not comfortable” was that she didn’t want to “expose our very private life that we value.”

Eva’s confession came after she posted clips from The Place Beyond the Pines, the only movie she and Ryan made together in 2012. Eva is already setting the record straight for fans who might find old photos of her.
She continued on April 6 –
“Oh wait – for those who may catch me in a ‘lie’ we only were on the red carpet together once when promoting [The Place Beyond the Pines].”
Even though fans might not see her on the red carpet for Ryan’s upcoming summer movie Barbie, in which he stars with Margot Robbie, Eva is still hoping to work with the La La Land actor again on screen, saying, “I’m still dying to do another movie with him.”
Since they worked on The Place Beyond the Pines, a lot has changed, like the fact that they now have 6-year-old Amada and 8-year-old Esmeralda. Over the years, the couple has kept their relationship very quiet. However, when Eva called Ryan her husband last November, the news spread quickly.
Eva talked about the rumors on The Kyle and Jackie O Show the next day. “There’s a rumor that you guys might have secretly tied the knot. Is that true?” co-host Brittany Hockley asked Eva at the time, to which she replied, “But who says we weren’t already?”
