However, certain anime are known for their stunning visuals and intense battle sequences. Some anime, on the other hand, attract a large audience because of their unique storylines. Odd Taxi was unquestionably one of those anime that captured our attention and emotions with its captivating plot. A new mystery has emerged: Will there be an Odd Taxi Season 2?

As a result of its impressive run, the anime is almost certainly returning for a second season. Season 2 has yet to be formally confirmed by OLM and PICCS. Instead, the anime’s official Twitter account shared a teaser trailer for a new film. As a result, Odd Taxi Season 2 is now just around the corner.

Until we obtain a confirmation that a second season will be made, as well as a confirmation that production has begun, we won’t know when a trailer will debut.

Because of the numerous setbacks, we may have to wait until the end of 2022 or perhaps the beginning of 2023 to learn more about the upcoming season’s trailer.

Odd Taxi Season 2 Release Date

In Japan, the first season of ‘Odd Taxi’ premiered on April 6th, 2021, and continued until June 29th of the same year. Currently, there has been no word about a second season, but if the anime is renewed and begins filming shortly, we may see a second season as early as the end of 2022 or the beginning of 2023. Odd Taxi has been set for release on April 1st, 2022, according to the studio.

On April 6, 2021, the first season of “Odd Taxi” debuted and ran for 13 episodes until wrapping up on June 29, 2021. The series was created by Studio OLM and Studio P.I.C.S. Baku Kinoshita was in charge of the film’s direction, while Kazuya Konomoto was in charge of scripting. Here’s all we know so far about season 2.

A second season of the show has yet to be confirmed or denied by the show’s producers. However, given that the first season ended on a cliffhanger, it’s possible that a second season might be in the works. To communicate complicated and parabolic stories, anthropomorphic figures have long been utilized in numerous forms of literature and entertainment, and anime is no exception.

Shows like “Beastars” and “Aggretsuko” have shown that anthropomorphic characters can have a lot of creative freedom. ‘Odd Taxi,’ on the other hand, takes things a step further by introducing the idea that nothing the protagonist goes through is actually happening. For example, OLM has made multiple seasons of anime like “Cardfight!!” and “Inazuma Eleven,” thus they have the ability and resources to continue making “Odd Taxi” in the future.

All that matters is how many copies of the anime’s Blu-ray/DVD are sold. Odd Taxi’s manga serialization began publication on Shogakukan’s Superior Dalpana website on January 15, 2021. Two volumes of the manga, both written by Konomoto and illustrated by Takeichi Abaraya, have already been published.

A second season could potentially be based on the manga if it goes beyond the events presented in this season. Another option is that Konomoto would write a new screenplay as he did in the first season of the show. Season 2 of ‘Odd Taxi,’ based on these factors, may arrive as early as 2023.

Odd Taxi Season 2 Plot

We learned in the first season that Odokawa has a mental illness called visual agnosia. Odokawa sees humans as animals because of their condition. After Shirakawa saves Odokawa, the protagonist begins to view people as people again. Imai visits Odokawa in the hospital while recuperating and delivers him the 100 million he found in the river, but Odokawa decides to donate the money to Kuroda.

In addition to Odokawa’s illness, there were other devastating revelations before the season came to a finish. We’ve tracked down the person responsible for Yuki’s death. Sakura, the fourth cat in line for the Mystery Kiss audition, was the only one to make the cut.

Sakura got into Odokawa’s taxi towards the end of the season. In his agnosia, Odokawa may have figured out that the killer was that specific cat, but he is unable to recognize Sakura’s human form. In a press release, it was confirmed that the next film’s plot will be a “reconstruction” of the events of the 2021 series, showing what happens after the series end.

We’ll probably find out if Odokawa makes it through the fight with Sakura or not. Shirakawa and Odokawa’s burgeoning romance, as well as Baba and Shibaga’s after they decided to restore their relationship, are also on our list of things to look forward to.
