An update from the show’s lead has provided fans who are looking forward to Ahsoka on Disney+ with even more reason to be thrilled about the upcoming show. Ahsoka Tano, a character who was first introduced in the animated series and film titled Star Wars: The Clone Wars, will make a live-action comeback in the upcoming Star Wars television series.
The fan-favorite Togruta, who is portrayed by Rosario Dawson, had her first live-action appearance in The Mandalorian, followed by an appearance in The Book of Boba Fett, all in preparation for her own series that will premiere on Disney+ at some point this year. Disney+ just recently announced that the 2023 release will be a “Season 1,” which strongly suggests that there will be a second season at some point in the future.
When Can We Expect the Disney Plus Premiere of “Ahsoka”?
Rosario Dawson, who plays the title character on the new Disney+ series Ahsoka, recently gave an interview on TODAY with Hoda and Jenna, during which she disclosed a possible premiere date frame for the show. After the release of Haunted Mansion: After Dark, Dawson stated that the show is “probably going to come out in the Autumn.”
“‘Ahsoka,’ that’s going to probably come out in the Fall. We’re going to have ‘Haunted Mansion’ coming out in August [this has been recently pushed to up to late July] first.”
At this point, a release date for Ahsoka between the months of September and November seems to be the most plausible scenario given that Haunted Mansion is scheduled to be released on July 28. It seems likely that it will be the next Star Wars premiere following The Mandalorian’s third season and before Young Jedi Adventures is followed by Skeleton Crew, which is still scheduled to make its debut in 2023.

The storyline for the first season of Ahsoka has not been made public, although the show’s creator, Dave Filioni, has stated that he intends for it to be more of a continuous narrative than shows like the Mandalorian, which are structured as individual episodes.

Ahsoka Season 1 Cast
Rosario Dawson, who previously portrayed this role in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, will take on the role of the show’s namesake character in this new film. The part of Sabine Wren, a teenage Mandalorian who was a prominent cast member of the animated series Star Wars: Rebels, which also featured Ahsoka, will be played by Natasha Liu Bordizzo when she enters the Star Wars universe.
Cinelinx has spread the notion that Eman Esfandi has been chosen to play the leading character of Ezra Bridger in the upcoming television series Rebels.
