Despite how appealing a vampire anime may sound, it’s challenging to consistently create high-quality work in the genre. But Castlevania is an outlier among animated shows in that it has consistently delivered more than promised across all four of its seasons. Seemingly, Trevor and Sypha’s adventures have come to an end; will there be a Castlevania Season 5?
We now know that Netflix has no plans to produce Castlevania season 5 but that isn’t the end of the story. Instead, the streaming service announced the production of a new animated sequel spin-off titled Castlevania: Nocturne. There is still a lot of mystery surrounding the Castlevania franchise, but this is what we know thus far.

When Is Castlevania Season 5 Coming Out?
There will be no Season 5 of Castlevania, hence there is currently no estimated release date. However, a spinoff sequel to the original series called Castlevania: Nocturne will continue the franchise, and it is expected to be released in the fall of 2023. So, in a sense, Castlevania: Nocturne is just Season 5 of Castlevania, but it seems logical that Netflix would go with this interpretation given the series’ new focus on a new cast and its anticipated continuation for a few seasons.
What Is Castlevania Season 5 About?
The events of Castlevania: Season 4 will take place a long time in the future, making way for the sequel series Castlevania: Nocturne. The plot will revolve around Richter Belmont, the offspring of our hero vampire hunters Trevor and Sypha. Netflix has just provided a storyline thus far, but given that every Castlevania game has had some sort of Dracula connection, fan favorites are likely to make cameo appearances.
Which Studio Is Making Castlevania Season 5?
Powerhouse Animation created all four seasons of Castlevania. However, properly speaking, it is not Castlevania: Season 5 that is returning this time around. While the Powerhouse may not have the best overall aesthetics, it is still our pick for Castlevania: Nocturne. The story was excellent, but the animation was truly remarkable. We hope Powerhouse Animation blesses us once again with Castlevania: Nocturne since the spooky contrast fit Castlevania’s murderous feelings remarkably well, and the details contributed to that experience tenfold.

Where Will Castlevania Season 5 Be Aired?
Only on Netflix can you watch the animated Castlevania series and join the fight against the vampire hordes. Season 5 of Castlevania, or Castlevania: Nocturne, has also been confirmed as a Netflix original, so you’ll have to check it out on the streaming service once it becomes available. Season 5 of Castlevania was a dead end. Thankfully, Netflix didn’t forget about the franchise’s legion of devoted followers, and we now have Castlevania: Nocturne, a fresh take on the series based in the same world.
