Barbie Movie Review
Warner Bros. premiered Greta Gerwig’s eagerly awaited film “Barbie,” starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, giving a select few humans a glimpse into Barbie World. Reactions flared on social media. Greta Gerwig swings for the fences and makes a home run.
ScreenRant writer Joseph Deckelmeier also called the movie humorous, bombastic, and highly smart. Deckelmeier complimented Robbie’s excellent performance, saying that Gosling and Simu Liu are pure enjoyment.

Perri Nemiroff, a writer for Collider, appreciated the film’s attention to detail, especially the costume and set design. However, she expressed more conflicting feelings about the plot, saying:
“I think the film serves Margot Robbie’s Barbie and her journey especially well, but there are other characters experiencing important arcs that needed more screen time to really dig into and explore to the fullest.”
I have seen #Barbie! The craftsmanship is incredible. In particular the costume & production design includes next-level work that heavily contributes to creating the feeling that these truly are Barbies, their dream houses, and their worlds come to life.

Will the Positive Barbie Reviews Affect the Fans’ Opinions?
It’s not surprising that critics like the hit movie Barbie given the sentimental message it conveys. With Mission Impossible 7, Oppenheimer, and Haunted Mansion all releasing this month, there is a lot of competition, so the major issue right now is whether or not fans will have the same enthusiastic emotions when the movie opens to the general public.

The movie had been in production at Sony since 2014, and Amy Schumer had been set to play the lead role. Initially citing “scheduling conflicts” for her movie I Feel Pretty, Schumer eventually acknowledged that there had been disagreements over the creative direction Barbie should take.
She told The Hollywood Reporter:
“They definitely didn’t want to do it the way I wanted to do it, the only way I was interested in doing it, ambitious inventor.”
Barbie moved to Warner Bros. in 2018, with Robbie starring in the new production, after spinning her wheels in development at Sony.
