Alice in borderland season 3: A jolly surprise was in store for Arisu (Kento Yamazaki) and his companions when the gamemaster drew the Joker from the deck. If we’re being really forthright, we saw this coming long ago. It was impossible that the Joker wouldn’t show up the second the face card did. What then awaits the bruised gamers who, foolishly, believed they had returned to the “real world”? To discover, fans will have to wait for season three, but will season three even be produced? Here’s all we know about Alice in Borderland season three.
Alice In Borderland Season 3 Potential Release Date
Alice in Borderland has reportedly been picked up for a third season, but there has been no official word yet. Since there is still so much of the story to uncover, we are keeping our fingers crossed.
Both seasons premiered in December, meaning fans had to wait just over two years between installments. Still, that doesn’t imply we should plan on celebrating Christmas in 2024. There was a delay in season two production due to the epidemic, which is likely why we have to wait until December 2023 to watch it on streaming services.
It’s true that we’re stretching the definition of “early” a bit, but a year is still quite a while in the film industry, and if you want truly jaw-dropping production values, you shouldn’t rush things.

Alice In Borderland Season 3 Cast
Niragi (Dori Sakurada) and Aguni (Shô Aoyagi), characters we assumed had been killed at the end of season one, made surprising returns. They survived Season 2 with significant injuries (Niragi more so). Thus, we may anticipate seeing them in Season 3. This is not true for Tatta.
Since Yutaro Watanabe’s character was buried halfway through the season, we can safely assume he will not be resurrected. Explosions, stab wounds, and other near-death experiences haven’t stopped Arisu and Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya) from returning for what should be at least one more season. We simply cannot wait any longer.
Aya Asahina, Nijirô Murakami, and Ayaka Miyoshi’s Kuina, Chishiya, and Ann all dragged themselves past the finish line, so we may expect to see them again. Yuri Tsunematsu, a relative unknown before her role as Heiya, was a welcome addition to the cast and should return if spared.
Alice In Borderland Season 3 Plot
We worry that next season may surprise Arisu and the company significantly. The season finale saw them in what they thought was “the real world,” but the joker card implies otherwise. All the candidates may be in a virtual reality setting like the one Arisu experienced in the series finale.
While under the influence of that hallucination, Arisu mistakenly believed that he had been admitted to a mental institution and that the entire sequence of games he played was a product of his imagination.
With Usagi’s help, he could escape that mental snare, but they could have quickly fallen into another when they gave up their chance to permanently inhabit the game. By doing so, they risk being sucked into a new game before they’re ready, from which they’ll have to escape.
Nijiro Murakami or Chishiya simps, where you all at?

That’s going to be a challenge for a team that has no recollection of the games or their previous interactions with one another. Since the players have advanced to the face cards level, the difficulty, intensity, and severity of the cards have also increased.
This gives the Joker the potential to be the cruelest card. If it takes on the traits of its moniker, “joker,” the gamemasters could have more tricks up their sleeves to use against Arisu and the rest of his bruised crew.

The current face-card gamemasters, who were revealed to be ex-gamers turned “citizens,” were eliminated due to Arisu and company’s triumphs. Winners of the last face-card game were offered the option of becoming citizens or taking their chances with whatever life had in store (their pseudo-reality, as it turned out).
Banda (Hayato Isomura) and Yaba (Katsuya Maiguma) are two new players who opted to become residents rather than continue playing under more dangerous conditions; they may become the next gamemasters in season three.
Alice In Borderland Season 3 Trailer
We’re sorry there’s no positive news to share on this front. We won’t make you play a series of games to find out. The release of the trailer for Season 3 is still relatively far off, but we will be the first to let you know when it finally arrives.
