HAZLE TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Pennsylvania State Police say a 19-year-old was shot in the lobby of a movie theatre, and the alleged shooter has been taken into custody.

At 8:15 p.m., there was a shooting near the Laurel Mall and the Regal Cinema. State police and ambulances were sent to the area.
Officials say that a 19-year-old man who was shot has been taken to the Lehigh Valley Hazleton hospital.
The state police found that the shooting happened in the lobby/arcade area of the Regal Cinema and was a “planned attack.” Even though the shooting happened in public and put people in danger, troopers say it is an isolated case.
