Fans of “Snowfall” are at the end of an era, and some of the most important characters’ journeys are also coming to an end.
In the crime drama set in the 1980s, the story of ambitious drug dealer Franklin (Damson Idris) and the rise and fall of his drug organization during the crack epidemic in South Central Los Angeles has been told over the past six seasons.
Franklin has changed from a college-bound teenager into a ruthless kingpin, but one of the most shocking things about the gritty FX show so far has been seeing his family slowly fall apart, which has led, in part, to another heartbreaking de@th.
In the sixth and final season of “Snowfall,” Amin Joseph’s beloved Uncle Jerome, also known as Jerome Saint, is the latest major character to die. This comes after Franklin’s father Alton and, most recently, one of his crew members, Black Diamond.
Do you know that on March 25th, Xavier Lopez, well known by his stage name “Chabelo,” who made generations of Latin American and Mexican families laugh on television, passed away:
In the sixth episode of “Snowfall,” called “Concrete Jungle,” Jerome dies tragically when he, his nephew Franklin, and his wife Louie (Angela Lewis) get caught in a warehouse shootout. Even though it’s sad, viewers probably aren’t surprised by the de@th.
After several betrayals in season six, like robberies, shootouts, de@th threats, and secret deals, tensions finally reach a breaking point in episode six, when Jerome and Franklin have to put their differences aside to save Louie, who has been kidnapped.
Jerome dies unexpectedly during the rescue mission, which is sad. So, how does Jerome’s story arc end at the end of season six of “Snowfall”? Find out by reading on.
How Does Jerome Die in Season 6 of “Snowfall”?
At the beginning of season six, episode six, Jerome has an existential crisis and realizes he needs to leave the drug game for good. He shows up at his and Louie’s house drunk and tells her he wants to run away to Jamaica because he knows his time as a dealer is coming to an end.
But Louie isn’t ready to give up the lifestyle, so she turns down her husband’s offer and suggests that he give her a chance to work things out with their supplier, Teddy (Carter Hudson), who is now Franklin’s enemy, so they can get their money in Panama.
But time runs out when Louie’s enemy Kane (DeVaughn Nixon), who she put a hit out on last season, sends his men to kidnap her and hold her hostage as revenge. At the same time, Kane works with Franklin to beat, brand and set up a gang rape of Louie in a warehouse while her nephew watches.
Franklin is able to tell his uncle what’s going on in a quiet way so that they can k!ll Kane and save Louie. Everything goes as planned, and Jerome and Franklin meet at the warehouse, where they are joined by backup, aka Leon (Isaiah John) and Skully (De’aundre Bonds).
But when Kane has Louie at gunpoint and Jerome corners Kane, the two shoot at each other. Both fall to the ground, but it’s not clear what will happen to Kane. Jerome, who is bleeding, lies on the floor while Louie yells at him to get up. The screen shows his de@th.
The preview for episode seven shows that Franklin, Louie, and their family will bury Jerome, who seems to blame Franklin for his de@th.
