It was reported to CNN on Friday( 1-03-2023) that Tom Sizemore, famed for his roles in blockbusters like “Saving Private Ryan,” “Natural Born Killers,” and “Heat,” had passed away by his agent, Charles Lago. He was 61. According to Lago’s report from mid-February on CNN, the actor was admitted to the hospital after experiencing a brain aneurysm.

Lago said that Sizemore “went away quietly in his sleep” at Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California, with his two boys and brother, Paul Sizemore, by his side.

(As per CNN) Paul Sizemore said in the statement-

“I am deeply saddened by the loss of my big brother Tom. “He was larger than life. He has influenced my life more than anyone I know.”

“He was talented, loving, giving and could keep you entertained endlessly with his wit and storytelling ability. I am devastated he is gone and will miss him always.”

With “no further hope,” physicians reportedly told Sizemore’s family to prepare for an “end of life decision” on Monday, according to a statement released by the player’s loved ones.

“We are asking for privacy for his family during this difficult time and they wish to thank everyone for the hundreds of messages of support, and prayers that have been received. This has been a difficult time for them.”

Sizemore, a native of Detroit, found fame as a Hollywood tough guy—the part of Sgt. In the ABC series China Beach, Vinnie Ventresca was his big break after a brief appearance in Oliver Stone’s 1989 picture Born on the Fourth of July.

Sizemore then went on to star in several films afterward, including “Point Break” in 1991, “True Romance” in 1993, “Natural Born Killers” in 1994, and “Strange Days” in 1995.

Sizemore gained fame for his supporting role as Bat Masterson in the western “Wyatt Earp,” starring Kevin Costner. After “Pearl Harbor,” 2001’s release, he appeared in “Black Hawk Down” (also starring in the same year).

His portrayal of Sgt. In the 1998 World War II film “Saving Private Ryan,” Mike Horvath gained widespread recognition. Both the Netflix series “Cobra Kai” and the spooky indie thriller “Impuratus” included recent appearances by Sizemore.

There have been several high-profile deaths already this year, and we’ve got the details for you:

    • Bishop James H. Morton of Georgia Dies at Age 76.

    Off-screen Problems and Recuperation

Even though Sizemore was a famous actor, his personal life often stole the spotlight. After struggling with substance misuse for quite some time, he was convicted of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Hollywood starlet Heidi Fleiss, in 2003.

In 2010, he appeared on the VH1 series “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew” after he had been involved in a series of legal troubles. The same year, he admitted to CNN’s Larry King that he had used crack, heroin, and crystal meth.

In a 2022 interview with Decider, Sizemore was asked about his reluctance to star in the “Barbee Rehab” comedy series.

“There was some, but it was so goofy and so not like rehab that I got over it,” Sizemore said, laughing at the time. “Plus, it wasn’t about drugs. It’s about obsessions and compulsions and… Barbees!”

Sizemore reminisced on his childhood fascination with “The Wizard of Oz” and “Taxi Driver” and how each film made him wonder.

“I saw that movie every week for, like, two months when it was playing in the theater. I saw it eleven weeks in a row,” Sizemore said. “That’s when I first started thinking, ‘Whatever that is they’re doing up there, I want to be part of it. I want to do that.’”
