At least three people have been killed and 15 more injured in shootings across Chicago over the weekend. Early on Saturday, a man was shot and killed in the Chatham neighborhood.

At about 2:30 a.m. someone came up to the 23-year-old in an alley in the 8400 block of South Wabash and shot him several times, Chicago police said. Police said that he was found dead at the scene.

Another man was killed while sitting in his car in Little Italy on the Near West Side early on Sunday. The 32-year-old man was in his car in the 1300 block of South Morgan Street at 1:40 a.m. when two men walked up to him, pulled out guns, and shot him in the head, according to police.

Police say he was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, where he later died from his injuries. A third man was shot and killed about 10 minutes later in Rogers Park on the Far North Side.

At 1:50 a.m., officers in the 1700 block of West Greenleaf Avenue responded to a call of shots fired and found the 23-year-old on the ground with gunshot wounds to the chest and leg, police said. He was taken to St. Francis Hospital when he was in very bad shape, but his injuries killed him, police said.

On Friday, a man was shot as he got off a Blue Line train on the Near West Side, according to police. Around 5:45 p.m., the 38-year-old victim was fighting with someone else when that person pulled out a handgun and started shooting, police said.

Police say the shooting happened as the two people got off the train at the Illinois Medical District station in the 400 block of South Damen Avenue.

The man was taken to Stroger, where he was said to be in good condition, according to police. Since 5 p.m. Friday, at least 14 more people have been hurt by gunfire.
