Since Marvel hasn’t officially announced it yet, we don’t know when Eternals 2 will come out, but it won’t be before late 2024 at the earliest. Eternals 2 Plot

A lot of the first film’s ideas came from Jack Kirby’s comics, but it also told its own story, so it’s hard to predict what will happen in the second film based on the comics. Thankfully, we only need to worry about the tense conclusion of the first film. The Eternals split up thinking their problems are solved after they defied their commander (and creator) Arishem and prevented Tiamut from destroying Earth.

Unfortunately for them, Arishem kidnaps Sersi, Kingo, and Phastos from Earth. Like in the comics, where he is a Celestial who decides whether or not a planet’s civilization deserves life or death, Arishem tells them he aims to dig into their memories to decide whether or not mankind is worthy of survival. On the Eternals’ ship, the Domo, on their way to inform other Eternals of their discovery of their actual nature, Makkari, Druig, and Thena avoid Arishem. In the scene that plays after the credits, the characters speculate that Arishem is responsible for the disappearances of Sersi, Kingo, and Phastos.
