According to a news statement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the guy was struck in a campus parking lot at around 7:30 in the morning. When paramedics arrived, he was unresponsive and had already been pronounced dead.

LASD Sgt. Guillermo Morales said, “Through the course of our investigation, we established that the collision was purposeful and the victim was targeted.” “The victim is a college employee, that is all we know,”
The fatality was eventually revealed to be Ralph Barragan, 63, a tram driver for Mt. SAC’s access program for students with disabilities. He has been in the position for 15 years.
