The Times of London reported that the Simi Valley school had been closed immediately. There were no other details, but a post by West that has since been removed seemed to substantiate that information.

The email addressed to parents appears to be the source of that report. Part of it reads: “We hope this email finds you and your families at Donda Academy well. First of all, we would like to thank Donda Academy for creating this community of families and students. However, as per the instructions of our Founder, Donda Academy will end operations for the remainder of the 2022–2023 academic year.”

The property looked to be vacant in the video taken Thursday morning by a news photographer who was on the scene. There were also other delivery company notices posted on a chain-link fence, with dates of Sept. 27, 30, and Oct. 12.
