As of now, we have only scraps of information for the upcoming plot available to us. In a talk show, the creators revealed that season 3 will be based on Sword smith village.
Considering this, we can extract that the plot might begin with chapter 98 which is brief about the village. We might see Hotaru Haganezuka is tired of repairing Tanjiro’s sword. So, Tanjiro might pay a visit to the swordsmith village to have it repaired.
When he arrives, he encounters Mitsuri Kanroji, the love of Hashira, and Muichiro Tokito, the mist. Demons approach him in the village while Tanjiro waits for his weapon to be rebuilt.
As per the expected plot, we could witness Tanjiro and the two Hashiras in a violent battle with the Upper-Ranks in the absence of Zenitsu and Inosuke. This arc also digs into the character of Genya Shinazugawa.
He has been in the scenes since the start of the series but has only made occasional appearances. He would also get the time to showcase himself to his younger brother.
